Gary,
Would love to have your help and assistance. We have a lot of work to do on this new board and I need advice and help if you have any spare time. The main idea behind starting this with Les's help, is to bring things of value to other Rv'ers. Not only knowledge, but parts and accessories at special discount values to member of the board. Other RV'ers who make additional income, and commercial members that join, will be able to post their product with a special special that they offer on an item under a sub-topic for that area. There will be no charge for this commercial posting since it brings a money saving to our members. Would like yours and others feedback as we get it running. There of course will be guidelines for making commercial posts, so that we don't get any spamming. Regards, Tom

Thanks for the support Horace. Would you like to become a moderator and help us build? Most RV'ers know other RV'ers that have products to sell and try and make additional income if they are full timers. We need to contact everyone of those we can find and bring them in so they can post specials for all members. This is the only RV forum I know of that allows free ads in a special section. You even mention you have have something to sell on any other one and your history. NOT HERE. If you don't have to pay advertising costs then you can afford to give RV'ers a break and that is part of what these boards are all about, hence the name rversedge. Also, I am thinking about breaking the commercial section into categories like Les has done with chassis, electrical, exterior, etc. I want everything that is on special to be easy to find so the members don't have to sort through a long list. What do you think? Tom

Tom. Sounds good. We are leaving next week for a slow trip to Minot for FMCA, my frst visit. Doubt I will be online enough to be a moderator (have little concept of duties required). Maybe after Labor day when we get home. What do you think? Horace.

Horace,
Sounds good to me. Being a moderator is pretty much just doing what you have time for, no real chore to it. As a moderator I can give you specific areas on the board to watch over, kill spammers or coach those that need help in posting the the right areas. Also, helps if you give suggestions on any changes you would like to see in those areas. If you see inappropriate behavior then you can either ban the member, remove their post or send them a personal message asking them to change. Those are the kinds of things a moderator does. Once the forum gets busy then it take a few moderators so no one person has to spend a lot of time. Sure wish I was going on that trip to Minot with ya. I'm ready to hit the road but tied down here with business. Regards, Tom

Just signed up for the new board. Been RVing since 1969. We have a 5th wheel and spend about 4 months on the road.
Would be happy to help as needed.

Hey Jeb5,
Since you are a 5th wheeler, how about we start a section on that and you can moderate and help set it up.

Hi Tom: Just found this new board and want to wish you the best. I hated to see Les go as well and he will be missed by those who knew them. We hope to see them down the road some day soon. We are in Lebanon, TN now, and will be heading to Florida for Biketoberfest. We are still selling our products and hoping that the cost of fuel will come down soon. With putting over 30,000 a year on the coach, it is killing us. I will be checking back often and hopefully, can contribute as well. Regards, Joe & Dottie Allen '98 U320 #15922 www.angelsonwheels.com
